Really enjoyed the bed, it was comfortable. We came to Waterbury for one night, nothing to complain about for this hotel. Having access to the pool was great. A wide array of restaurants to eat close by, like Cheshire Coffee that was only 10 minutes' walk away.

Location of this hotel was good for exploring lake compounce. There was a pool to enjoy...

When we had an issue after check out- the front desk person (male) was very cold and couldn't help us resolve( I was crying because u was so frustrated from booking the wrong thing and it was my daughter s b day and he didn't care) the next day when u was calm I went to speak with the front desk manager and she discounted something. At this point I didn't feel my issue was resolved on time.

We were placed at room 122 And 123 It was smelly and old. As mentioned- I was so frustrated that I gave up already. After check out, I had a conversation with one of the housekeeper and (she was so nice! ) she said that those room are old and have water issues all the time because of the location near the water park and that they are usually have wet carpet- so why were we located there???

The staff was prompt to respond to all our concerns about the room we were staying in. We were able to get a different room when the problems couldn't get fixed.

I could hear the low battery beeping of the fire deterctor in the next room. The sink had a leak in the drain. The cold water did not work in the shower/tub. The dinning facility did not have a lot of choices on their menu. We drove to a near by resturant to have dinner.

The water park was what we were there for with my son while at a soccer tournament for my daughter.

It is very dated & dark. Could use a fresh, bright coat of paint and some more contemporary furnishing. The lobby stuff is plain weird and the lounge area by the restaurant could be much better. we were charged a $25 "room Deposit" ?? wierd. we travel a lot and have stayed in a few 100 hotels and, contrary to what the front desk was telling us, this is not normal.
